Yearly eventsWith all our annual events, especially the Fairs and Queen’s Birthday Book Sale, donations of second hand books and trash & treasure are greatly appreciated and accepted. Collection can easily be arranged, contact us on 9728 6353. St. Matthew's Autumn Fair (9.00am onwards)Held on Labour Day (March), Lots of cakes, preserves, fancy goods, bric-a-brac, books and plants. Pull one out of the hat for Easter and grab a bargain at the annual St. Matthew’s Labour Day Fair. Monash Avenue, Olinda (Melway 66H7) in the beautiful Dandenongs. The Fair is held annually on Labour Day from 9 am to 2 pm. Pre-loved, many stalls, Devonshire teas and lots of delicious food. We even serve (optional) sauerkraut with our sizzling sausages!!! Queens Birthday Book Fair (Sun 1pm-5pm, Mon 8am-3pm)Held in St. Michael's Hall on the Queen's Birthday long weekend (June). Books, Books, and more BOOKS! Offers of help to set up, serve and especially pack up appreciated. Setting up Thurs 2 -5pm, Fri 9.00am until finished. Pack up Mon from 3.00pm. St. Michael's Melbourne Cup Day Fair (9.00am onwards)Held on Melbourne Cup Day (November). People come from near and far to join us on this fun day. You'll find:

BreakfastsEveryone is invited to our breakfasts which are held on the first Sunday in every month following the 8.00am service (St. Michael's) Men's Breakfasts are held on Saturday's from 8.00am every two months or so. Join the mailing list to be notified of dates and guest speakers (see ‘Contact us’ page) Special ServicesHealing Ministry is available at all
times. The opportunity for this ministry is created at the 10am Wednesday
service in St Matthews on a first Wednesday in a month. On the third
Wednesday we commemorate the faithful departed. On the 24th at 8.00pm we hold Community Carols in St. Michaels grounds. At 11.30pm in the church at St. Michaels we hold a midnight service On Christmas Day we have an 8.30am service at St. Matthews and a 10.00am service at St. Michaels. SHINE and The MessengerSHINE is the weekly parish leaflet with comments on the readings, current Church meetings and activities, and a regular column from the Vicar. The Parish publishes a newsletter every three months called ‘The Messenger’. The Messenger is compiled from submissions from the Parish community and encompasses a wide range of topics including: letter from the Vicar, what’s happening, stories, youth news, spotlight on parish members, movie and exhibition reviews, mission news, cooks corner, parish classified, cartoons, and much more.
